There are so many personal finance blogs and newsletters out there that promise to whip your finances into shape.
One thing I find many of them have in common is that they’re so long-winded, and they’re not very actionable. The way the human brain works is that we need to see quick wins to find the advice helpful and easy to stick to.
So I challenged myself to find a few of the best quick money tips on the internet for you – and kept them to one sentence.
- Spend less than you earn, and invest the difference.
- You don’t need to spend a lot of money to have a good time.
- Read more books and fewer articles (ask me, I can recommend several).
- If you’re worried about how your investments are doing, don’t read forecasts – read history.
- Don’t be thrilled that the credit card you’re paying 22% interest on offers 1% cashback on all purchases.
However, one of the best tips I can give you (and look, it’s another one-sentence value bomb!) is to get a financial advisor you can trust in your corner. You owe it to yourself and your future to start planning it out now – even if it’s not with me.
If you do want to explore what working together would look like, you can start as simply as booking 15 minutes in my calendar by calling 513-563-PLAN (7526) or booking here. Between you and I, we’ll get you started on the path to a wealthy retirement that’ll last way longer than just one sentence.
