How would you like to own a Porsche?

Maybe you already do… in which case, when are you swinging by to take me for a ride?

Just kidding… but what if you were able to buy a Porsche with just one sheet of computer paper?

Well, someone already did it.

A 42-year-old Florida man decided he wanted a Porsche but didn’t want to invest the money. So, he printed a fake check from his computer for $139,203.05 and handed it to the dealership.

Amazingly, the dealership didn’t wait until the check cleared before handing him the keys. In fact, Casey William Kelley was so proud of his con that he asked the staff to take a photo of him standing beside the car, which they did.

Then Kelley tried to pull the same stunt on a local jeweler. He hustled back home, printed another check for $61,521, and used it the next day. Only this time, the owner didn’t let him walk out with the three Rolex watches he had bought until he cashed the check.

He was taken into custody and into the Walton County Jail on charges of grand theft of a motor vehicle and fraud.

Interestingly, the Florida conman claimed he didn’t understand what he had done wrong. He figured that because his bank’s account number was on the check, it should have been fine.
