If you haven’t heard, there’s a deadly new insect that hunts bees, decapitates them, and then feeds the headless bodies to their young. Lovely, right? (Hope you’re not eating lunch!)

They’re called Asian Giant Hornets (aka murder hornets) and they’re already starting to show up in the Pacific Northwest.

These aren’t your average hornets. They’re two inches long and their stinger is about a quarter-inch — strong enough to pierce a beekeeper’s suit. These insects are worrying a lot of people, especially beekeepers. Murder hornets can destroy a honeybee colony fast.

What will 2020 throw at us next?
