We’re now safely into the New Year… and one question I’m sure you’re either getting asked or asking yourself is this:

“How are you doing on those New Year’s resolutions?”

I won’t pry.

Instead, I thought I share a few pithy quotes on the subject of our annual ritual of self-improvement.  Enjoy:

“I’m resolving to just wing it and see what happens.”
― Bill Watterson

“There is nothing magical about the flip of the calendar, but it represents a clean break, a new hope, and a blank canvas.”
― Jason Soroski

“The more specific you are about your resolution, the better your chance of sticking with it. Don’t just say, “I want to lose weight.” Say, “When my arm jiggles, I want it to look less like a pelican’s throat-pouch choking down a bass.”
― Colin Nissan

“Yesterday, everybody smoked his last cigar, took his last drink and swore his last oath. Today, we are a pious and exemplary community. Thirty days from now, we shall have cast our reformation to the winds and gone to cutting our ancient shortcomings considerably shorter than ever.”
― Mark Twain

“May all your troubles last as long as your New Year’s resolutions!”
― Joey Adams
