Well, this is something I didn’t expect…
In a recent New York Times article, the author warns us that not only could Artificial Intelligence (AI) take over many jobs, for many workers already it’s acting as their BOSS.
It seems that companies like MetLife and Amazon are now using AI technology to monitor workers and give feedback to them regarding the work they do…
All based on algorithms designed to optimize human performance.
So the thought occurred to me…
What if, someday, I’m working at a job someplace.
I’m a hard worker. Smart. Productive. Dedicated to the team and the company.
My boss, who monitors my performance and provides feedback, is a machine… a robot. It may not have arms, legs, or head, and is basically just a grey box with a voice, but it’s still a robot nonetheless.
When performance review time comes around, do I ask my robot boss for a raise?
I guess I could.
Its answer would probably depend on its programming.
Not the most reassuring scenario.
Even though I love technology and all the benefits it provides, at heart I’m still a fan of good old-fashioned one-on-one human interaction. Where we sit down together, get to know each other, and discuss ways to get the things done that we agree need doing.
Sure, tools like online financial calculators are useful. And you can find some great insights on the web.
But when it comes to designing and crafting a financial plan to meet your specific goals… that matches up with your unique hopes and dreams…
Well, that just can’t be done by a robot. Not yet. Not even close.
If you’re looking for that kind of personal, professional service in building out your financial future, give us a call at 513-563-PLAN (7526) or click here.
