It really doesn’t matter when I write this email. Markets are volatile.
Unexpected news brings an unexpected response.
It’s normal. But that doesn’t make it enjoyable.
Volatility is one thing.
How you choose to respond to it is another.
Have you ever seen the giant redwood trees in Muir Woods, just north of San Francisco?
Some of those trees stand over 250 feet.
But they don’t grow the same amount every year. Some years they don’t grow at all.
At one time, every one of them was a tiny seedling.
Time, or dare I say patience, is what got them to become giants.
The same is true with money.
Successful investors don’t look at their net worth every day. They know it does them little good.
So here’s a little advice. If you truly want to be a great investor, commit to not looking at your portfolio for 5 years.
That’s right. Five years.
If you don’t think that’s possible, you’re not alone. In fact, almost no one can do it.
That’s where I come in.
I designed my planning system to give you the discipline necessary to grow your portfolio, even if you have to look at it regularly.
I’ll show you how your redwood is growing, but we won’t let you pull out the chainsaw prematurely.
