Job loss can just pop up out of the blue – without any sort of warning. And if you’re not prepared, it will hit you hard.

But – you’re not powerless. With a bit of proactivity, you can alleviate some of the stress of job loss.

Today, in our ‘New Year, New You’ 30 Day Challenge, your mission is to update your resume!

Most of us don’t think about our resumes once we’re employed. After all, it’s done its job – you were hired, right?

Not sure what exactly to update on your resume? Look out for new work experience and responsibilities you’ve taken on since you were hired.

You’ll be surprised at what’s missing from your listed work experience, especially if you’ve gotten complacent at your current job and have not applied for anything recently!

There are websites you can check out for tips on optimizing the information and formatting of your resume to make it stand out more if you haven’t got any new information to add to it.

The good news is that even if you never lose your job, you’ll have a head start on applying for any new opportunities that arise.

Our primary goal is to help you gain and maintain financial freedom, or at the very least stability. Jobs factor so tightly into that, so if you want to talk with me about any other steps you can take to prepare for a job loss or taking on a new job, I want to hear from you.

Give me a shout at 513-563-PLAN (7526) or book online to set up a 15-minute chat with me.

P.S. The next challenge I give you is gonna be a good one – if fact, it might just be the most important one I give you all month! So stay tuned for that.
