A few months ago, a show came out on Netflix called “Squid Game”, and it dominated social media last month.
The show’s concept is that 456 strangers, all with financial troubles, are invited by a mysterious organization to play a game, with the promise of a “handsome cash prize” if they win.
They quickly learn that the games come with more than they bargained for.
It got me thinking – we have been known to do some pretty wacky things for money.
We see game shows on TV devoted to extreme challenges (but much less dangerous than the games seen in Squid Game!), and we sometimes put ourselves in danger daily to make money.
More often than not, these are just risks we take on with our daily jobs, and we will continue to do them until we eventually-maybe-retire.
