Halloween is coming up fast, and in 1993 one of the most famous animated movies to ever celebrate the season was released.
It’s a classic – Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
For the uninitiated, the movie’s set in a fantasy world where various monsters and characters live in holiday-themed towns.
Revered as the Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington (the leader of Halloween Town) is tired of the same old routine and wants to shake things up a little. He is unsure how, until one day, he is walking through the woods outside of his kingdom and comes across six trees with doors that lead to other holiday-themed worlds.
After exploring Christmas Town, Jack becomes enamored with this newfound celebration. After studying the holiday in great detail and sharing what he learned with Halloween Town’s residents, he decides to do the only logical thing:
Plot with his minions to kidnap ‘Sandy Claws’ and take the Christmas holiday for their own!
Those who’ve watched the movie know that the plot didn’t end successfully (although, perhaps, not in the way you’d think). But it just goes to show you that sometimes the best-laid plans sometimes suck…
… and, it’s important to know who’s on your team so you can be confident that they’ll do the job right!
