Time travel is not technically possible, according to top physicists (or, so they say). Stephen Hawking once held a party and invited any and all time travelers to attend. And, shock, no one showed up.

Despite the disappointment, Hawking’s party sparked the imagination of the science fiction community, and they’ve written story after story about it.

The idea has always been a fascinating one. You can take a trip back in time to pay a visit to a historical figure, but don’t you dare change anything, or the consequences will be dire!

Most of the time (see what I did there?), the threat of a paradox looms whenever our protagonist finds him (or her)self in the past.

The idea behind the paradox is that by changing something in the past, you will have altered the flow of time, causing all manner of chaos for the future.

Say, for example, you try to save the Dodo from extinction. You think you’re doing the world a favor, but guess what? The Dodo is actually a dangerous murderbird, and you just unleashed them on humanity.

Everything you do in the past can irreversibly change the future in ways you can’t even imagine.

That’s why, even though we may at times fantasize about going back in time to alter some aspect of our own lives…

… to take that risky dream job
… profess your love to the one that got away
… hit it big in the lottery with the winning numbers

… it’s a better idea to improve your life as it is, instead of a do-over because you don’t know what your life would look like if you changed “that one thing.”

Since time travel doesn’t exist, we do have to live with our choices and make good ones for the future.

You may not be filthy rich from lottery winnings. Still, we DO have financial advisors to help us figure out how we can build something that will last longer than your hypothetical past self’s lottery money.

So, what are you waiting for? The time is now to book a call with one of our financial advisors at 513-563-PLAN (7526) or go online before the moment has passed (I’m so sorry) to discuss your financial future.
