Just about every one of our clients has a valuable lesson to share. And when I say valuable, I mean people will pay for those lessons.
Let me explain: a number of companies specialize in helping people create and sell online courses. This industry is huge and expected to eclipse $300 billion by 2025.
Teachable, Udemy, and Kajabi are three of the most popular.
With these platforms, anyone with a passion can make money teaching what they know to others.
Here’s a straightforward model used by someone who teaches how to create stained glass.
This teacher is not a “professional.”
She never made a living on making and selling stained glass, but she recognized it as a hobby many would like to take up.
So, she created a course that does just that. For $49, you can buy the course, which has videos and downloads to teach someone with absolutely no artistic talent how to get started.
And then, for just an additional $10 a month, students have access to the teacher via a group chat on Zoom, where they can ask questions and get critiques.
The online platform does all the work, including the billing. Some of the sites even do the marketing for you.
Frankly, I think this a gold mine for anyone looking for a side gig or a job to keep busy during retirement.
